श्री. गजानन दिगंबर माडगुळकर म्हणजेच महाराष्ट्राचे लाडके "गदिमा." . गीत रामायणासारखी दिव्य निर्मिती करणारे जणू आधुनिक वाल्मिकी  !  . गदिमांनी लिहिलेले आणि श्री. सुधीर फडके यांनी गायलेले " गीत रामायण " ऐकणे म्हणजे मांगल्याची प्रचिती. आजच्या सुलेखानासाठी निवडलेले गीतरामायणातील हे गीत आकाशवाणी पुणे केंद्रावरून दि ६ मे, १९५५ रोजी सुमन माटे , जानकी अय्यर, कालिंदी केसकर ह्यांच्या आवाजात प्रसारित करण्यात आले. आजही मराठी माणसाच्या मनावर ह्या गीताची अजून भूरळ आहे.

Gajānan Digambar Mādgulkar ,popularly known  by just his initials as Ga Di Ma  was a prominent Marathi poet, lyricist , writer and actor . He wrote a much-acclaimed work in Marathi titled Geet Ramayan It consisted of 56 poems,  Sudhir Phadke  had composed the music for Geet Ramayan and then given its many renditions to the public . After this masterpiece, Ga Di Ma wad  refered as "Adhunik Valmiki" . Today's calligraphic tribute to one of the songs from Geet Ramayan which was broadcasted on All India Radion Pune station on 6th May,1955 which was sung by Suman Mate, Janaki Ayyar, and Kalindi Keskar.
